A prerequisite for this project requires the preservation of the abandoned compressed-air factory and its tall chimney. The idea for the new structure is to achieve a technical excellence as advanced as the factory was for its time (Large 19-century span, 21st-centurty cantilever). Idea to create a building made entirely of metal and glass, the volume of which echoes with the industrial fragments along the banks of the Seine; to create a structural foundation for archives and administrative offices that supports the multi-level building consecrated entirely to education; to take advantage of the old factory to enforce the notion of an experimentation with materials.
