project | Albert Kahn Museum Boulogne: 2012-2013
project owner | General council of Haut de Seine
This project involves the extension and the creation of a new building near the existing structures, on the edge of the Albert Kahn garden. One of the major issues on this project was to add a building without interfering with the visit of the park or its overall state. The new building, which abuts on the existing dividing wall, is characterized by its very inconspicuous architecture. It includes a mixed structure (concrete, metal), uses wood extensively, and proposes double-glazed windows with wood spacers so as to reduce the impact of the project and create an exemplary construction site, an architecture that merges with the place.
