The projected museum of the Great War in Souchez is to house an outstanding collection of photographic documents, films, and objects. The arrangement of black-concrete cubes, each serving a function, features interstitial spaces for public circulation where light and shadow meet. The same theme characterizes the general plan, which includes a landscaped parking lot with a shell in black concrete, like the museum. The existing building, which is to be preserved, will later accommodate temporary exhibitions.
