This project involves an urban planning assignment on the entire lower city as well as a commission to design a Zone d’Aménagement Concertée (urban development zone) on land formerly occupied by military barracks. This study over the very long term includes the management of several public areas in the city: Champ-de-Mars, station for the Prorel cable cars, development of the whole city center in the lower city. A new park is to be created: it will be a contemporary application of Jean-Claude Nicolas Forestier’s ideas on “city and park system”.
