| The position of the new building will provide for a new strategy for exterior development of the entrance to the campus of the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS, National Center for Scientific Research). The linear structure built into the slope of the terrain allows for the construction of a new landscaped parking lot level with the raised entrance.Though organized differently, the elements used for this parking lot emulate the existing ones. On the opposite side of the system, the lower, forested terrain is accentuated (reinforcement of existing elements). The ensemble of this device thus clarifies an environmental distinction between the professional world at the heights of the hill, and the world of repose within the forest along the river banks. |
